To Never Run Out of Ideas…

I would love it if I never ran out of ideas. I can read some books by the same author and know exactly how it’s going to end by the 20th page. There are others that I have no clue what’s coming around the bend. I love that!

I always struggle to give my readers a great story. Usually this happens by turning the story over to the characters. Basically letting my imagination run free. But then I go back and compare. Often times I’ll harass myself about scenes that may be too familiar. I don’t want to be too “Lord of the Rings-ish,” or too “Harry Potter-ish,” and I have really got to stop giving EVERYBODY wings!

It’s very important for me to create something unique, even if the inspiration came form a T.V. show, movie or other author’s work. I’m a reader, too, and I don’t want to read a copy of something that’s already out there! That’s why I’m so impressed with many of my peer’s works! I wonder how they can be on their 20th book, and still have me guessing every time I get into their stories. I want to be like that!

You’ll never run out of ideas. I’m always amazed when I read anything of yours at the new ideas and plots. That wing thing is interesting. Wings on seraphim symbolize the ability to come and go…to move…..maybe edging into freedom and strength. Does that make sense?
